A True Horror Story: The Whisper of the Sea
My name is Jack, and this story begins when I took a vacation from work and decided to visit my relatives in the countryside. But I never expected the horror that awaited me.
A Normal Start in the Countryside
When I arrived at my uncle’s house, I was exhausted. After greeting my relatives, I went to my room to rest. But as soon as I lay down, I felt an eerie sensation—an unexplained fear, maybe just unease because I wasn’t used to the countryside. I ignored it and fell asleep, thinking it was nothing. But the next morning, I woke up to the sound of screaming.
A Terrible Morning News
I rushed downstairs and asked what was happening, but no one answered at first. Finally, my cousin Farid told me his sister was missing. She had disappeared without a trace.
We searched everywhere, but there was no sign of her. Then, an elderly woman in the village whispered something chilling—"The sea spirit must have taken her, just like it takes someone from the village every week."
A Frightening Revelation
I was horrified. Every week, someone vanishes? I turned to Farid for answers.
He hesitated before finally saying, “I didn’t want to tell you, but you need to know. A long time ago, a man and his wife, Angie, lived here. Angie was known for her beauty, but her husband was cruel. One night, after a terrible fight, she ran away. He chased her all the way to the shore. She was terrified of him, but she had nowhere left to run. She slipped and fell into the sea. Her husband tried to save her, but she disappeared into the waves.
Ever since that night, people hear her voice, see her beautiful figure near the water. And when they follow her... they vanish.”
The Terrifying Decision
I couldn’t believe the villagers just accepted this horror. There had to be a way to stop it. So, I made a reckless decision—I would go to the sea alone at night.
I was terrified, but I had to do this. At first, nothing happened. But as I turned to leave, I heard a voice.
"Jack... I’ve missed you. Come to me."
I saw the faint outline of a beautiful woman near the water. I felt myself walking toward her, unable to stop. But at the last moment, Farid grabbed me and pulled me back. As soon as he did, everything disappeared.
Uncovering the Truth
I knew I needed to find the real reason behind this curse. After searching for days, I discovered that Angie had actually loved her husband, despite his cruelty. All she had wanted was a kind word from him, but he never gave her one.
The only person who could stop this was her husband—if he was still alive.
The Final Confrontation
I tracked him down. His name was Jareem, and he had lived in hiding, tormented by guilt. Speaking to him wasn’t easy, but I convinced him to return to the shore that night.
At exactly 8 PM, she appeared. Angie’s ghost slowly approached Jareem, and for the first time, I saw fear in his eyes.
With tears in his voice, he said, "If you want to kill me, do it. But leave the others alone. I loved you... I just never knew how to show it. That night, when you fell into the sea, I was terrified. I tried to save you, but you were gone.”
Angie stared at him, silent for a long moment. Then, she whispered, “I always loved you, Jareem. I waited for just one kind word from you... but you treated me like a servant.”
He fell to his knees, sobbing.
She smiled faintly and said, “I forgive you.”
And with that, her spirit faded into the night, never to return.
